Geoengineering is the only viable solution to climate change at this point. Trying to reduce emissions enough to stop the disaster is wasting energy.

If I'm reading your graph on ocean temperatures correctly then 2025 temps dropped below 2023 levels back in March and remain lower.

That's right. It hasn't returned to pre-2023 levels. If you click on the source link, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 are all clustered below.

I agree with the author. The US government is captured by the polluter caucus. Every Department and Agency today is not only doing nothing to address climate, the captured agencies are actively and demonstrably acting to exacerbate climate emissions. Humanity’s only hope is the rise of an opposition power introducing fusion or some other means to bend the curve to a less-than-extinction-level crisis, the odds of which I place at 1 in 5.

The problem is that everyone is in favor of stopping climate change when it is presented as an abstract concept, but they lose interest the moment that they have to start paying the costs.
